Celebration of Russell’s life will be Thursday December 7, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Pulliam Funeral Home in Oblong, IL. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery in rural Willow Hill, IL.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -7:00 P.M. Wednesday December 6, 2017 at the funeral home.

James R. “Russell” Mikeworth, 100, of Oblong, IL went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday November 30, 2017 at Ridgeview Care Center in Oblong, IL.
Russell was born in Hardinville, IL on August 29, 1917 to Roy and Dora (Skaggs) Mikeworth. On June 25, 1937 he married Zelma L. Fear who preceded him in death on August 3, 2006.
Russell had worked for Terre Haute Heavy Hardware, Gulf Oil Company and Flanner and Buchanan Mortuaries of Indianapolis, IN. He was a member of the Highland Church or Christ in Robinson, IL and the Oblong High School Class of 1936. He was a Charter member of North Christian Church in Fort Wayne, IN, and he was involved in the Berean class. Russell enjoyed woodworking, reading, bicycling, fishing and making latch hook rugs. Both Russell and Zelma were avid campers. Russell was also involved in the start up of the Crawford County Health Department.
Russell is survived by son and daughter-in-law Danny and Kay Mikeworth, Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Kenneth & Janet Mikeworth, Mooresville, IN, Eric and Jeri Mikeworth, Canton MI, Sean and Amy Mikeworth, and Annette Mikeworth all of Indianapolis, IN; great grandchildren Jennifer, Rebecca, Christopher, Angela and her husband John Berry, , Eric Jr., Jessica and her husband Justin St. John, Laura, Seth, Sydney, Alexander, Jacob and Trinity; and great-great grandchildren Katie, Tori, and Maddie Berry, and Harper St. John, along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, step mother Jessie Mikeworth, wife, a son David Mikeworth, a brother and sister-in-law Millard and Norma Mikeworth, sister and brother-in-law Hazel and Herbert Osborne, step sister and husband Naomi and Delbert Smith, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Nolan and Rosemary Eubank and niece Sue Woods and nephew Jack Mikeworth.
